Volunteering at the Roman Baths

Volunteers

The Roman Baths relies on volunteers to help with the behind the scenes work.  Volunteers here at the Roman Baths work with our diverse collection which contains local archaeological material from all time periods, including Prehistoric, Roman, Medieval and Georgian material.  Our collection even contains spa equipment from Bath’s Victorian Treatment Centre.

Interested in archaeology, local history or the Romans?  Then why not volunteer here at the Roman Baths and explore history with us while working with our collections.

Why Volunteer?

  • Volunteering work helps to develop the museum and provides a fun opportunity through which you can develop new skills and experiences.

  • Volunteering is a great way to get to know new people and become active within the community.

  • Volunteering at a museum is a great, and valuable, starting point for a career in museums or heritage.
