The Roman Baths is a place for the whole family to
enjoy. Children of all ages can find out about life here in
Roman times. In addition, events for all the family take
place during most school holidays.

this one-man double-bill by Doc Watson on the 200th anniversary of
Dickens’ birth.

Style a statue

Create a card statue based on one from the museum.
Bladud and his pigs

Archaeology for everyone

Join us in Freshford Memorial Hall for a
variety of hands-on archaeology activities. Bring along your
finds for identification too.

Science 'busking' at the Roman Baths
Wednesday 14 March, 4pm - 8pm
Explore the science trail. Take part in a variety of
science and engineering investigations. Activities and
demonstrations take place thorughout the museum and Roman
site. Meet our Science 'buskers' and investigate:
* The snails which live in the Great Bath
* Roman engineering achievements
* How the Romans decorated their buidlings
* What is so special about the spa water.

Hands on science
10, 12, 13 & 15, 16 17 March
Get hands-on with Roman science and engineering - try our object
handling activities. Each day we will look at a
different topic using images and objects from the
collection. 2pm - 4pm.
Roman Baths science trail
Investigate science with our special trail for children visiting
with school or family. Collect a trail at reception, 9 - 18
March.
