Private Hire

After the Roman Baths and the Pump Room close to the public, these unique and elegant buildings are available for private hire. Originally built for hospitality and entertainment, they offer delightful and unusual settings for weddings, receptions, dinners, conferences and meetings.

The Roman Baths are at the heart of the World Heritage city and, dating back approximately 2000 years, make the most magical setting for a drinks reception. Guests mingle beside the torch-lit and steaming waters, soaking up the unique atmosphere. The Roman Baths are also licensed for civil ceremonies and are perhaps one of the most stunning and romantic locations in the country for a wedding.

The Pump Room is without doubt one of the most elegant and atmospheric venues in the country, and it makes a memorable setting for any dinner, party or reception. It partners perfectly with the Roman Baths, where pre-dinner drinks may be enjoyed. The Terrace, which overlooks the Great Bath, is perfect for smaller events & can be combined with the Reception Hall for dinner dances.

The Kingston Room and Drawing Room with their views of Bath Abbey and Kingston Parade are elegant, Victorian rooms perfect for a private celebration or a small meeting. These are the only two rooms in the Roman Baths and Pump Room complex that are available for hire during the day.

Our professional and supportive team aim to make every event individual and memorable and we endeavour to fully understand your needs. From the day you enquire about our venues, you can be assured that the whole team will be working closely together to make sure that your event is a success.

The Bath’s Historic Building’s team also manage the hire of the Assembly Rooms, Guildhall and Victoria Art Gallery.
