The Roman Baths Foundation

We need your help!

The Roman Baths Foundation is an independent charitable company set up to raise funds for conservation and education work at the Roman Baths. The Archway Project is the first project the Foundation is supporting through fundraising to establish a new Roman Baths Learning Centre that will transform the Roman Baths’ learning offer and World Heritage Centre for Bath that will be a free facility for the city. Building work is set to start in autumn 2017, and the Roman Baths Learning Centre and World Heritage Centre are due to open in 2019.

The overall capital project will cost nearly £5 million, of which £3.165 million is for learning provision. In October 2016 we were delighted to hear that we had received a £3.4m National Lottery grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. This means we now have over 95% of the funding in place, but we still need your help to raise another £225,000 to reach our target. If you would like to support the Archway Project, please click on the donate button at the top of this page. We also have a menu of exciting funding opportunities available, including the chance to adopt a Roman stone or support the Conservation work and lighting scheme for the old boiler house chimney.

To find out more, please download the Archway Project wishlist. For more information about how you can support the Archway Project, please contact Rebecca Gibson, Development Manager.

The Roman Baths Foundation is a registered charity No. 1163044
