Child being carried in baby carrier

Facilities

You can exchange your child’s push chair for a baby carrier at the entrance, and there are baby changing facilities and toilets at the entrance and exit.

Pushchairs

Because there are steps in various places and a number of narrow walkways, pushchairs have to be left in the main reception hall. Two sizes of baby backpack carriers can however be borrowed free of charge during your visit. One style is for small babies and the other is suitable for children weighing up to 18 kgs.

Restaurants

When the family get hungry, you can take them for a meal or snack at the Roman Baths Kitchen which has a relaxed, child-friendly atmosphere. The Pump Room restaurant is a favourite for afternoon tea and we have special Pump Room children's teas available during the school holidays.

Toilets

There are two sets of toilets. One is near to the main reception before you buy your ticket, and the other is at the very end. There are baby changing facilities in both the male and female toilets at the end of the visit, and in the female toilets at reception. Our breastfeeding policy can be found here.

Luggage

We don't have room to store your items. The Bath Backpackers centre on Pierrepont Street can take baggage, however. Unfortunately there is no room on this site for coat storage, but part of the site is outdoors, so you may prefer to keep your coat on.
