Terms and Conditions

Advance booking is essential and must be made at least two working days in advance. Please contact our Group Bookings Office for more details.
You can amend or cancel your booking up until 24 hours prior to your visit, after which time we will not be able to cancel your booking or reduce the number of tickets, and you will be charged for the number of tickets you booked rather than the number you brought to the Baths.
Due to capacity restrictions, we are only able to welcome a limited number of groups to the Roman Baths at a time. This means that for larger groups, we may ask you to split the group over multiple timeslots. As we are currently experiencing a high demand for group tickets, we recommend that you book as early as possible.
In order to protect the ancient monument and ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience on site, we ask that all groups book a 15-min arrival timeslot for their groups. If you arrive outside your allocated arrival timeslot, we cannot guarantee entry to the Baths. Bookings should be made at least 48 hours in advance, but we recommend booking as soon as possible to guarantee entry for your group.
No guiding by group leaders is allowed anywhere on site.
1 group organiser may enter free of charge per 20 paying customers. This only applies to bona fide group organisers and not to members of the group. Group organisers must be prepared to show their employment credentials to receive this benefit. The coach driver is also free of charge.
We can also provide teaching sessions on a range of subjects. Teachers accompanying school groups of 20 people or more are admitted free on condition that they supervise their group throughout their visit in the following ratio - Up to 11 years: 1 teacher free per 10 children, 12 years and upwards: 1 teacher free per 15 children. Please contact our Group Bookings Office for more details.
Large backpacks, handbags or other items more than 40cm x 30cm x 20cm (H x W x D) are not allowed into the Roman Baths. If you have an item this size or larger you will need to leave it either on the coach or you can store it at Bath Luggage Storage Centre, 13 Manvers St, Bath BA1 1JH. Any bags smaller than this entering the site must be kept with you at all times.
