A school group beside the Great Bath

Our learning programme includes a range of activities which are fun, interactive and accessible for both children and adults.

Coming soon... our new Clore Learning Centre!

Our upcoming Archway Project will create a state-of-the-art and fully accessible Learning Centre for the Roman Baths where school children, community groups and other users will be able to learn about our heritage in a variety of imaginative and accessible ways. In the new Learning Centre children will be able to dress as Romans, handle original artefacts, investigate Roman building technology and discover the inscriptions the Romans left behind. They will even get the opportunity to try archaeology by excavating replica Roman objects in an underground Investigation Zone!

School programme

We have an active school programme which is closely linked to the national curriculum whilst also inspiring young people to develop as independent learners.

We also offer a range of visit options, from a teaching session to a self-guided visit. Please click on the links below to explore the options and find the ideal one for you.
