Go behind the scenes at the Roman Baths and discover the secrets of museum care and conservation.
Calling all home educators! Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes in a museum? This special workshop offers a unique opportunity to meet one of our museum professionals and explore the fascinating work that keeps the Roman Baths collection safe and accessible.
What to Expect:
- Learn about collection management and the materials used to pack and protect objects
- Try your hand at wrapping objects securely
- Discover how we manage pests and environmental conditions to preserve history
- Handle real objects and test your skills in spotting originals versus replicas
This session is designed for young adults, teenagers, and those home educated at secondary level. Parents, carers, or accompanying adults are welcome to book and stay, but please do not bring siblings who will not be participating due to the hands-on nature of the workshop.
