New free display on Haile Selassie's exile

A temporary display about Emperor Haile Selassie’s exile in Bath during the Second World War is on display in the King’s Lounge of the Pump Room.

Come and see objects on loan from Fairfield House, including golf clubs and a walking stick given to the City of Bath by Emperor Haile Selassie. He lived in Bath's Fairfield House from 1936-1941 and was the Emperor of Ethiopia from 1930 to 1974.

You can see the display for free by accessing the Stall Street entrance during opening hours between 10am-5pm.
