Pump Room Trio

Founded as the Pump Room Orchestra by Master of Ceremonies Beau Nash in the 1700s, the group is believed to be the longest-established resident ensemble in Europe.

The Pump Room Trio or pianist plays every day to add to your enjoyment while having coffee, lunch or afternoon tea in the Pump Room. The members of the Pump Room Trio are – Violin: Matthew Everett, Cello: Tim Gilbert, Piano: Derek Stuart-Clark.

The pianist plays from 10.30am – 12.15pm, Sunday to Friday (except during the summer season) and 12.45pm – 2.15pm every day, all year round.

Friday 1 January – Friday 5 July 2019

Daily: 2.30pm – 4.30pm

Saturdays: 10.30am – 12.30pm

Easter, May Day and spring bank holidays: 10.30am – 12.30pm

Saturday 6 July – Wednesday 28 August 2019

Daily: 3.00pm – 5.00pm

And 10.30am – 12.30pm from Monday – Saturday

Thursday 29 August –Tuesday 31 December 2019

 Daily: 2.30pm – 4.30pm*

 (Except 25 and 26 December)

*Occasionally in December the times may be earlier, to allow for carol concerts.

Very occasionally the regular Pump Room Trio slots will be replaced by a suitable musical performance delivered by visiting musicians.
