Ever dreamed of being an archaeologist? Now’s your chance!
Let’s be archaeologists and examine the Roman remains here at the Roman Baths.
Dig for Roman artefacts (replicas) in our special excavation trench and learn how to identify, record, and uncover hidden treasures—just like a real archaeologist
Discover, Investigate, Identify, Reconstruct … just like real archaeologists! What new and exciting things will you discover?

Time: 10am, 11am, and 2pm
Date: 27-30th May
Information:
- You will meet the Roman Baths Learning Team by the Great Bath for the start of your session. You will be able to re-enter the museum after your session has finished if you wish.
- You will need to book both an Archaeology Adventure and your Roman Baths entrance tickets. All children must be accompanied by an adult
- Please book an entry time 1 hour before your archaeology adventures start time to allow enough time to reach the archaeology start point at the Great Bath.
Sessions have limited numbers so booking in advanced is recommended
